About this position

At Education Management Solutions, we merge essential information across environments, helping organizations align performance and capabilities between education, training, and active provider care.

Additionally, our open architecture removes silos across OEM hardware, simulation training tools, video conferencing, learning management systems, and external data sources for reporting.

Fusing performance observations and measurements across immersive reality, hands‑on education, and classroom instruction; EMS provides a comprehensive learning backbone that elevates the discipline of healthcare anytime, anywhere.

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in delivering successful customer implementations while helping elevate the performance of the entire Project Management team. In addition to managing strategic customer projects, you'll mentor fellow project managers, improve department processes, and partner across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project management professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading through influence, and driving continuous improvement across an organization.

What you'll do
  • Lead complex customer implementation projects from purchase order through final customer acceptance.
  • Serve as a senior resource and mentor for Project Managers, providing coaching, guidance, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive accountability across assigned projects to ensure schedule, scope, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.
  • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies while escalating issues appropriately when needed.
  • Partner with Engineering to review project deliverables and ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Cost Accounting to monitor project budgets, documentation, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Work with department leadership to optimize resource planning across internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery processes, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Create, maintain, and improve project management templates, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure project data, milestones, documentation, and reporting remain accurate within Asana and other project management tools.
  • Drive timely completion of post-installation activities, punch list items, and customer commitments following substantial completion.
  • Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing shifting priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Complete special projects that support departmental and organizational initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to continually strengthen project management capabilities.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience leading complex software implementation or technology deployment projects.
  • Experience managing enterprise SaaS implementations, preferably within healthcare technology, healthcare simulation, education technology (EdTech), or similar industries.
  • Proven success managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects from initiation through successful completion.
  • Experience communicating project status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Monday.com, or similar tools.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
  • Naturally lead and influence teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Enjoy mentoring others and helping teams grow.
  • Balance strategic thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Stay organized and composed while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excel at identifying risks before they become problems.
  • Communicate confidently with executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Have a solid understanding of technology implementations, networking concepts, and system integrations.
  • Are willing to travel up to 20–30% as business needs require.

Why EMS?

At EMS, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals who are passionate about improving healthcare education and patient outcomes. We believe our people are our greatest strength and are committed to creating an environment where employees can grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact.

When you join EMS, you'll enjoy:

  • The opportunity to shape the future of healthcare education technology.
  • A collaborative, supportive, and innovative culture.
  • Meaningful work with customers across healthcare and higher education.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
