Pennant is looking for a strategic, people‑focused PMO Manager to build and lead our IT Project Management Office. This is a high‑impact role responsible for creating the frameworks, processes, and team culture that will shape how IT initiatives are delivered across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Build & Evolve the IT PMO

  • Create a scalable project & program management framework for all IT teams

  • Establish standards, documentation, templates, and lifecycle expectations

  • Implement intake, prioritization, governance, planning, and review ceremonies

  • Continuously refine processes as the organization and technology landscape evolve

Drive Cross‑Functional Alignment

  • Partner with leaders across Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Data, and Clinical/Operational IT

  • Coach project managers and technical leaders on PMO processes

  • Reinforce documentation, communication, and governance standards

  • Support change management and organizational readiness for major initiatives

Lead Portfolio, Program & Project Delivery

  • Oversee large, multi‑team, enterprise‑level programs

  • Serve as the central point for scope, timing, resourcing, and risk mitigation

  • Ensure initiatives deliver on‑time, on‑scope, and on‑value

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business cases, benefits, and success metrics

Own Project Tools & Reporting

  • Administer and optimize PM platforms (Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, Monday.com, etc.)

  • Build dashboards and reporting for leadership and executive visibility

  • Improve tooling, automation, forecasting, and transparency across teams

Develop a High‑Performing PMO Team

  • Hire, mentor, and grow a team of project managers

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

  • Support the long‑term evolution and scaling of the PMO

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in healthcare

  • 7+ years in IT project/program management, including building or maturing PM frameworks

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies

  • Experience coaching PMs and technical leaders without direct authority

  • Skilled in intake, prioritization, RAID management, and quality standards

  • Hands‑on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, or similar tools

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑alignment skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting capabilities

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, CSM/PSM, SAFe, ITIL Foundation

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
