Job description

Machine Learning University (MLU) is leading internal education in Generative AI, Agentic AI and Responsible AI accelerating Amazon-wide AI transformation. We are seeking a process-driven, customer-obsessed owner of our global physical and remote classroom operations to continue to scale MLU's training while deepening our engagement with technical employees across the company. This role will work closely with MLU's customers, product managers, instructors and engineering teams to ensure delivery of high-quality training and educational events that drive AI transformation at Amazon.


MLU's Senior Program Manager, Operations is someone who excels at inventing and simplifying, an experienced operator who balances business objectives with resource constraints. They value efficiency, build flexibly, and bring a balanced mix of quantitative reasoning, customer-driven decision-making, and event management expertise.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and takes a structured approach to managing complex, global programs - equally comfortable developing an event strategy from the ground up, overseeing logistics across multiple time zones, and diving deep into operational metrics to drive process improvement.

They bring strong vendor management instincts, a natural ability to build trust across partner teams, and the operational rigor to keep cross-functional initiatives on track from planning through reporting.
Key job responsibilities
(Invent and Simplify) Design and implement scalable processes that accommodate business growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
(Deliver Results) Drive our in-person event strategy, providing operational expertise and cross-functional coordination to align team goals to customer needs.


(Ownership) Own and manage vendor relationships including procurement for global operations including internal events and conferences.
(Think Big) Develop the strategy and own the roadmap for MLU events and in-person training opportunities to increase community engagement.
(Earns Trust) Identify and work with partner education teams to deliver cross-team education initiatives designed to drive adoption of AI/ML services and technologies across Amazon.


(Insist on High Standards) Oversee logistics of course schedule, classroom reservations, class registration, attendance, and customer feedback mechanisms across multiple time zones.
(Dive Deep) Analyze operational defects and drive process improvement in cooperation with program, product and instruction teams. Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and project reporting to track progress, manage escalations, and continuously drive us towards our implementation goals.
