Cyberscurity Program Manager
Max Pay Rate: $80/hr
100% REMOTE
Leads the end-to-end delivery of the Mythos Cyber Defense Program, a global, multi-workstream initiative focused on rapidly reducing enterprise exposure to AI-driven vulnerabilities and accelerating remediation at scale.
This role is accountable for orchestrating 11+ interdependent workstreams, driving program governance, driving execution, and delivering measurable risk reduction outcomes across applications, infrastructure, identity, and emerging AI exposure domains.
The IT Program Manager operates in a high-urgency, high-visibility environment, partnering with executive leadership, cybersecurity, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership & Delivery Accountability
Own end-to-end program delivery across all Mythos workstreams (applications, infrastructure, identity, AI exposure, tech debt, supply chain)
Drive execution against aggressive timelines, regulatory expectations, and enterprise risk reduction goals
Translate strategy into an integrated program plan with clear milestones, dependencies, and outcomes
Ensure alignment between remediation efforts and enterprise risk priorities
2. Multi-Workstream Orchestration
Manage interdependencies across 11+ workstreams and associated projects
Ensure sequencing, prioritization, and resource alignment across:
o Vulnerability remediation (apps, infra, endpoints)
o AI-driven exposure management
o Tech debt reduction and legacy risk mitigation
o Adversarial testing and security tooling
Drive cross-workstream issue resolution and decision-making
3. Governance, Executive Engagement & Decisioning
Establish and run program governance structure, including:
o Steering Committee (monthly)
o Program Readouts (monthly)
o Program Management cadence (weekly)
Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting for:
o Steering Committee
o ExCo / Board (as required)
Drive clear decision escalation paths, ensuring risks and dependencies are resolved quickly
Ensure governance is not just reporting, but actively drives prioritization and outcomes
4. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
Lead proactive identification and management of:
o Program risks (cyber, delivery, regulatory)
o Cross-workstream dependencies
o Critical path constraints
Ensure timely escalation to appropriate governance bodies
5. Execution Excellence & Delivery Standards
Establish consistent delivery frameworks, templates, and reporting standards across all workstreams
Hold Project Managers accountable for:
o Clear plans, milestones, and status reporting
o Financial tracking and forecasting
o Dependency and risk transparency
Drive adoption of data-driven delivery management and metrics, including:
o Vulnerability closure rates
o Exposure reduction
o SLA adherence and remediation velocity
6. Financial & Resource Management
Own program-level financials, including:
o Budget oversight
o Forecasting and cost management
o Vendor spend
Support vendor selection, onboarding, and performance management
Ensure effective allocation of resources across high priority workstreams
7. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the central point of coordination across:
o Cybersecurity
o Infrastructure & Engineering
o Risk, Audit, Legal
o Business stakeholders
Translate complex technical risks into clear executive insights and decisions
Build strong partnerships to enable rapid execution and issue resolution
Qualifications:
Required
10+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex programs
Proven ability to lead multi-workstream, cross-functional programs with heavy interdependencies
Strong experience in cybersecurity and risk management
Demonstrated success operating in high-pressure, high-ambiguity environments
Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong financial management and forecasting expertise
Preferred
Experience with:
o Vulnerability management / exposure management
o Security tooling implementations (e.g., CrowdStrike, adversarial testing tools)
o AI/ML risk and security concepts
PMP or equivalent certification
Experience in financial services / regulated environments
