Job Purpose
As the HR- Learning and Development Intern, you will work closely with the Director of Talent Management to support the evaluation, development, and implementation, of employee learning and development programs. This role offers the unique opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.
Responsibilities
  • Along with the responsibilities listed below, the L&D Intern will be responsible for a project to enhance Albany International's leadership development curriculum.
  • Assist in Learning Program Development: Support the design and creation of training materials and presentations for internal training programs.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Help maintain records of training activities, participant attendance, and feedback.
  • Learning Resources: Assist in maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is up to date and accessible to employees.
  • Employee Feedback & Evaluation: Gather feedback from training participants and help analyze results to improve future training programs.
  • Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in learning and development, suggesting new approaches for the company's programs.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support in additional tasks that arise within the HR team, depending on the company's needs and the intern's experience.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0

Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
  • Strong interest in learning and development, training, and employee engagement.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
  • Basic understanding of human resources principles and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
