Job description

Overview
The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) designs, develops, and delivers high-quality learning solutions that support employee performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational priorities. This role combines instructional design, LMS administration, and facilitation to create engaging, accessible, and audit-ready learning experiences across the Bank. This role is required to work in the Westborough Operations Center a minimum of 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Instructional Design & Content Development:
  • Design and develop eLearning, microlearning, instructor-led, and blended learning programs using established instructional design methodologies
  • Create high-quality learning assets, including facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, assessments, and evaluation tools
  • Develop interactive, learner-centered content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Captivate, and Camtasia
  • Ensure all learning materials are accurate, consistent, accessible, and aligned with adult learning principles, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
  • Serve as primary administrator for the Learning Management System, including course setup, enrollment rules, reporting, troubleshooting, and annual curriculum maintenance
  • Partner with Compliance and subject matter experts to ensure assigned training content is appropriate for target audiences and regulatory expectations
  • Manage LMS vendors, including monitoring course updates, coordinating enhancements, and requesting statements of work as needed
  • Upload, test, and maintain eLearning content to ensure a seamless learner experience
  • Generate participation, completion, and audit reports for managers, Compliance, and regulators as required
  • Provide learner and trainer technical support related to LMS access and functionality

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Measure learning effectiveness through surveys, feedback, completion data, and performance indicators
  • Continuously refine learning content, delivery methods, and LMS processes based on data, learner feedback, and evolving business needs
  • Stay current on emerging learning technologies, instructional design trends, and facilitation best practices

Facilitation & Training Delivery:
  • Facilitate engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for diverse employee audiences
  • Adapt facilitation techniques to meet varying learning styles and experience levels
  • Coach managers and subject matter experts to support effective training delivery and knowledge transfer

Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related is required
  • Master's Degree is preferred

Work Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, facilitation, and LMS administration is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience developing original learning content
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and blended learning approaches
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, particularly in regulated environments
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
  • Experience in a financial institution or similarly regulated industry strongly preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g., DiSC, EQ, MBTI, or similar assessments) preferred
  • Commitment to obtaining an Instructional Design and/or Facilitation certification within two years of hire

Expected Pay Range
The expected annual pay range for this role is $55,243 to $91,158. This pay range is the annual salary we in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation paid may fluctuate higher or lower than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future due to several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, certifications, and qualifications, internal equity, adjustments to the requirements and responsibilities of the job, business needs, and economic and market data.
