Job description

Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Downtown Orlando office is seeking a Land Development Intern to join our team for Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027. Interns will work on civil engineering projects and will learn technical skills and computation software.

Our impressive Florida portfolio includes collaborations with mixed-use multifamily and national homebuilders; healthcare and commercial developers; industrial sectors; hospitality giants including amusement parks; and various municipal and local government bodies. We are proud to serve State DOTs, municipalities, and private clients throughout the eastern United States on significant projects like Water Street Tampa, The Grow, and Wellness Way.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
  • Engineering calculations
  • Preliminary and final design plans
  • Contract documents including specifications
  • Engineer's estimates
  • Preparing construction documents

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing undergraduate or master's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Strong interest in civil engineering

Hiring Salary Range: The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $19/hr - $30/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
