Coordinator of Elementary Counseling, Education, Training and Development

Salary Grade: Business Grade 08/ BG-08

Position Summary: The Coordinator of Elementary Counseling Education, Training andDevelopment supports the implementation of an ASCA-aligned system of tiered supportsfocused on elementary student emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. This rolesupports elementary counselors and deans through training, coaching, data analysis, and
implementation support to improve student outcomes and reduce barriers to learning.In partnership with school counselors, district teams, and school leaders, this position developsand delivers professional development, supports counseling program implementation, andassists schools in using data-informed practices aligned with district goals and ASCA standards.

ASCA-Aligned Counseling Program Support
Data Analysis and Counselor Guidance Effectiveness Support
MTSS and Student Support Collaboration
School Counseling Coaching and Consultative Support
Counseling Resource and Program Development
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Masters degree in counseling or counseling-related field

Experience:
Two (2) years of experience facilitating professional development systems, structures, ortraining in an educational setting required
Two (2) years of experience creating and implementing training required
Experience leading, coaching, or training teams in an educational setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications:
Certified School Counselor or Licensed, eligible Therapist preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Spanish speaking preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to facilitate collaborative team processes across disciplines
Knowledge of TPS policies and procedures as well as campus and community resourceavailability
Working knowledge of ASCA guidelines for delivering an effective counseling programand commitment to aligning work responsibilities with those guidelines
Knowledge of best practices and research-based programs supporting emotional,behavioral, mental health, and social service needs
Knowledge of state, local, and federal laws impacting student services, confidentiality,child abuse, and neglect reporting
Ability to collect and analyze data from multiple sources to support counselingeffectiveness and student outcomes
Ability to support implementation and monitoring of school counseling annual plans
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Expertise in training, coaching, and supporting teams and individuals
Ability to develop and deliver effective and engaging trainings to diverse audiences
Experience as a qualified observer with demonstrated ability to provide constructive,growth-focused feedback
Ability to organize and facilitate meetings in a professional manner
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, district teams, and community partners
Ability to remain flexible and solution-oriented while adapting to changing needs andpriorities
Ability to perform well under stress and respond appropriately in emergency or high-stress situations
