The Learning & Development Specialist supports employee development by facilitating engaging training, creating and updating training materials, and helping employees build the skills needed to be successful in their roles. This position also works closely with the department to identify process improvements and find more effective and efficient ways to support both employees and department operations.

Pay: $26 or DOE
Schedule: 8:30 am - 5 pm
Location: Hybrid and on site as needed
Your Role: Delivers company training to employees and managers. Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation. Assists in the development and creation of lesson plans and training aids. May specialize in a subject, training program, or function of the company. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.
Responsibilities:
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or methods, such as role-playing, job-shadowing, coaching, online training, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Analyze training needs to modify and/or improve existing programs.
  • Liaise with manager to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate new hire skills and performance quality to ensure appropriate competency levels are achieved upon completion of training.
  • Acclimate new hires to the business and culture.
  • Train and teach others by identifying educational needs.
  • Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the company
  • Other tasks assigned by management

  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience a plus.
  • Strong interest in process improvement and finding more effective and efficient ways to support department operations and employee development.
  • Familiarity with a variety of training and learning methods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for continuous periods of time. Constantly operate a computer and phone. Frequently communicates with customers, coworkers, and managers about accounts. Able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
