Job description

We are seeking a high-visibility, senior-level Program Manager to lead the comprehensive execution of our mission-critical defense contracts. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our contractor teams and government / industry stakeholders. You will drive the technical, financial, and administrative performance across multiple projects, ensuring total alignment with overarching Navy and MRC objectives to deliver vital national security capabilities. Key Responsibilities * Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for government / industry customers and stakeholders to manage relationships and communicate program status, risks, and performance. * Program Planning & Execution: Direct and manage complex, multi-year program initiatives to ensure strict adherence to contract requirements, performance metrics, and technical specifications. * Financial & Resource Management: Oversee program budgets, control costs, manage financial projections (EAC/ETC), and allocate resources across cross-functional teams and subcontractors. * Risk & Quality Management: Proactively identify program risks, execute mitigation strategies, and ensure all deliverables comply with corporate and government policies (including RMF and PMP standards).Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and inspire assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate project managers, to foster a culture of continuous improvement. * Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, engage with clients to understand emerging requirements, and serve as a capture manager for proposal development. Job Requirements Required Qualifications & Skills * Experience: 9-11 years of proven program/project management experience within a Department of Defense (DoD) contracting environment (direct experience supporting the U.S. Navy is highly preferred).Education: MBA degree from an accredited university in a technical or managerial discipline. * Security Clearance: Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance. * Core Competencies: Expert-level mastery of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, and risk) alongside a deep understanding of DoD/Navy acquisition and contracting processes. Earned Value Management (EVM). * Domain Expertise: Practical experience navigating naval environments, ship systems, or fleet operations. * Certifications (Highly Desired): Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification in Program Management. Understanding of Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL. PPBE/POM Development
