Position Overview
The EWSDEP Faculty Member provides professional military education instruction focused on warfighting, Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) employment, and expeditionary operations. Faculty lead seminar-based discussions, guide practical exercises, and mentor students using a Socratic teaching approach. This role supports the development of operationally competent Marine leaders.

  • 8671: Warfighting
  • 8672: Functional Employment of the MAGTF
  • 8673: Expeditionary Operations
  • 8674: MAGTF Operations Practical Exercise

Minimum Qualifications
  • Marine Corps field grade officer (or select)
  • Graduate of Career Level School (CLS), Intermediate Level School (ILS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), or Top Level School (TLS)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated experience as a commanding officer, executive officer, or primary staff officer at the battalion or squadron level (or higher)
  • Must complete the prescribed faculty development program to be certified as a CDET instructor
  • Must hold a Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Education, operational background, and instructional experience consistent with the CDET seminar program or course they will instruct
  • Experience with Socratic or seminar-based teaching methods
