Job description

Human Resources Coordinator

SALARY RANGE: $22-$24 per hour DOE. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources and other departmental managers in the day- to- day operations of the Human Resources office including clerical and record keeping duties. The individual is also responsible for responding to internal and external inquiries regarding benefits, employment, policies, and other HR-related matters.

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Process Onboarding and terminations.
  • Must be able to conduct New Hire Orientation.
  • Screen and reach out to the potential candidates and assist with Career days.
  • Compile associate files and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Process status changes of the associates as needed.
  • Prepare and send out an associate Newsletter on a monthly basis.
  • Spearhead employee engagement/learning and development activities, such as: Employee of the month nominations, Designated Coach training, Round Tables, team member milestones and other activities as assigned or requested by the Management.
  • Ensure all bulletin boards are updated with the relevant information.
  • Assist with the log in to the UKG and Unifocus apps.
  • Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
  • Manage existing files and create new ones as needed.
  • Handle complaints/questions/special requests from internal guests.
  • Actively participate in Talent Acquisition.
  • Review and respond to all timesheet edits, payroll corrections, etc.
  • Maintain monthly update of employee birthday and anniversaries.
  • Review all outgoing mail.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a resort or related industry helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is desirable.

Working Conditions and Schedule

  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
  • The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week over 40 hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • The role requires sitting at the desk in front of the computer for the extended period of time.
