Job description

TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics vision is to become a global leader in making a difference in people’s lives through movement. We are an inclusive gymnastics space that provides innovative programming for physical activity that serves special needs alongside competitive athletes. PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve TNT's mission by building and fostering relationships in a fun, positive, and safe environment. Coaches create and/or implement age-appropriate activities that enhance skill development and achieve desired skill objectives while helping every athlete build confidence through movement.

Coaches may teach in the following programs, with a primary focus on School-Age Ninja:

  • School-Age Ninja (Ages 6+) – Lead exciting, high-energy classes focused on obstacle training, agility, strength, coordination, balance, and confidence. Coaches implement preset obstacle circuits, modify activities as needed, and progress athletes through TNT's Ninja curriculum.
  • School-Age Gymnastics (Ages 6+) – Create engaging lesson plans while teaching gymnastics progressions that help athletes safely develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.
  • Preschool Gymnastics (Ages 3–5) – Implement activities using preset circuits designed around developmental milestones and gymnastics progressions in a fun, encouraging environment.
  • Baby & Toddler Gymnastics (3 Months–3 Years) – Guide parents and active helpers through age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones using movement, exploration, and play.

Skills/Knowledge Required or Work-Related Experience:

All candidates must have a passion for building relationships and positively influencing youth through movement.

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience participating in or coaching ninja, gymnastics, parkour, obstacle course racing, martial arts, rock climbing, cheerleading, or other athletic programs.
  • Experience working with children as a coach, childcare employee, camp counselor, preschool teacher, para educator, or elementary teacher.
  • Attending, interested in attending, or graduated from university for: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Coaching, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Elementary Education, Health Education, Nursing, or Special Education.

Coaches are Responsible for:

  • Unlocking Potential while learning all content needed to teach the curriculum.
  • Creating an exciting, positive, and energetic class environment.
  • Teaching safe progressions while helping athletes build strength, confidence, and new skills.
  • Completing administrative tasks associated with scheduled classes (attendance, skill tracking, evaluations, etc.).
  • Keeping customers safe by teaching age-appropriate activities and enforcing gym safety rules.
  • Completing all nightly cleaning duties and gym reset tasks.
  • Staying current with upcoming TNT events.
  • Maintaining all required certifications pertinent to the position.

Certifications: (Completed within the first 3 months of hire – all training paid by TNT)

  • Fingerprint Background Check through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant
  • CDC Heads UP Concussion Training
  • USA Gymnastics Required Certifications

Compensation:

  • $14.00–$24.00 per hour
