Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pre K Teacher Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities 
  • Assist Lead Teacher in organizing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 4-5, in  alignment with North Carolina's Pre-K guidelines and early learning standards. 
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain classroom order and discipline in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Provide guidance and support for children’s emotional and social development, helping them build self-confidence and positive peer relationships.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education practices and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and child care.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
  • Strong understanding of child development
  • Patient, kind, and nurturing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • First aid/CPR certified
Compensation 
Compensations are based on years of NC Pre-K Experience (with CDA, Associates or higher degree). Teacher Assistant Compensation based on 10 months. Starting with zero years of experience at $25, 980.00 and will increase each year.Â
