Senior Tax Associate

Wojeski is seeking positive and energetic self-driven individuals to join our tax team. The position is for growth-oriented professionals focused on building a career in public accounting with opportunities to progress at all levels. Team members in our tax department work extensively on not only the preparation and compliance of corporate, partnership, individual, estate and trust tax filing, but also gain exposure to a broad range of other business and tax related matters consisting of international tax, research and value add consulting. Wojeski is seeking a Tax Senior Accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a public accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Manage and oversee tax planning and compliance projects for multiple clients.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to provide strategic tax advice and solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to staff tax accountants and other staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in CCH software Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
