What You’ll Do
  • Provide warm, responsive, and nurturing care for infants
  • Follow individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines
  • Create engaging experiences through tummy time, sensory play, books, music, movement, and outdoor play
  • Support infants as they reach important developmental milestones
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and daily updates
  • Communicate professionally and positively with families
  • Maintain active supervision and follow all safety, ratio, safe sleep, and licensing requirements
  • Work closely with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 19 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day
  • Ability to meet Alabama childcare licensing and background-check requirements
  • Willingness to complete required training and professional development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with infants in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, nursery, or early learning program
  • Child Development Associate credential
  • Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices
