Job description

Office of Student-Athlete Development - Study Hall Monitor
Position Summary/Purpose:
This position will manage the study hall check-in/check-out process, help maintain a positive and non-distracting work environment, and assist the Office of Student-Athlete Development staff with general tasks.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
  • Manage the study hall check-in/check-out process by communicating with student-athletes and utilizing the study hall function in our system, Teamworks.
  • Help maintain a positive and non-distracting work environment by enforcing the Office of Student-Athlete Development's policies and procedures.
  • Help maintain the physical appearance of the Student-Athlete Development Center by picking up trash, pushing in chairs, arranging furniture, and cleaning off tables.
  • Assist the Office of Student-Athlete Development staff with general tasks.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • MS Office

Qualifications:
  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level student enrolled in full-time degree program at Grand Canyon University.
  • Strong organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, time management skills, attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with computer software.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students and staff.

Experience/Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
