Definition: The Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. This position involves collaborating with lead teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being.

    Qualifications:

    • Shall have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent. A 2-year degree is preferred.   Note: An option of actively participating in a CDA certification program exists, but prior approval by the Director is needed.  
    • Shall have one (1) year of experience in the early childhood field.
    • Must be willing to maintain CPR and First Aide Certification.

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending. 
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. 
    • Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
