Job description

About Us

OLR is an award-winning Oracle Retail Partner with over 20 years of experience delivering and supporting Oracle Retail solutions for international omnichannel retailers and some of the world’s most recognized brands.

OLR US is a key part of OLR’s global operations, supporting clients across North America and internationally.   While most of our U.S. team works remotely across the country, OLR maintains its headquarters office in Cleveland, Ohio. This is also home to one of OLR’s data centers and a critical component of our global technology and support infrastructure.

OLR operates with a distributed workforce model across the United States, allowing team members to work remotely from various locations. Employees based near the Cleveland office benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, combining in-office collaboration with remote work.

Our U.S. based professionals collaborate closely with teams in Europe, India, and Latin America, contributing to Oracle Retail systems integration, cloud and data initiatives, and continuous improvement programs for global retail operations.

The Role

You are an early-career QA professional with a passion for learning and an eagerness to grow within software quality assurance. You’re curious, analytical, and detail-oriented — someone who takes pride in ensuring that technology works seamlessly. You enjoy solving problems, communicating clearly, and collaborating with others in an agile environment.

This is an on-site role based in our office, as it requires regular hands-on access to the lab, hardware and other testing equipment that cannot be effectively supported in a remote environment.

 In this role, you’ll

  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Support test planning, design, and execution within agile sprints.
  • Assist in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
  • Learn and apply automation tools and frameworks under the guidance of senior QA engineers.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in software testing or automation (Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or Ruby).
  • Basic understanding of Agile development and Continuous Integration principles.
  • Experience with defect management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • A good level of written and spoken English is essential, and Spanish language skills would be a significant advantage, particularly when supporting customers and collaborating with teams across LATAM region.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Exposure to retail systems.
  • Awareness of industry tools and concepts — e.g. Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, JMeter, Appium, Perfecto.
  • Interest in performance, security, or accessibility testing.
  • Active engagement in professional learning — webinars, meetups, or online communities.

Why join OLR?

  • Make a global impact by contributing to retail transformation projects across regions.
  • Collaborate with international teams across UK, Portugal, US, Canada, Mexico, India.
  • Grow your career through structured training, professional development, and career progression opportunities.
  • Join a certified Great Place to Work with a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and community.

Benefits you’ll enjoy:

At OLR, we believe in supporting our people both professionally and personally. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance for employees and their families
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage
  • Life & Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Empower 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Generous Vacation & Sick Time
  • Nine Public Holidays
  • Communication Allowance
  • Learning & Development Opportunities
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Own Your Laptop Program
