Located in the beautiful Palm Desert area, Willow Springs provides both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our organization while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and staff.

Position Summary

The Director of Staff Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing educational programs to ensure clinical staff maintain the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide high-quality patient care. This role plays a key part in regulatory compliance, onboarding, ongoing training, and workforce development.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation programs for newly hired staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor ongoing clinical education and in-service training programs.
  • Ensure staff competency and compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate education, certification, and training records.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and best clinical practices.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for staff development.
  • Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications
  • Current California RN or LVN license in good standing.
  • Current California DSD Certification required.
  • Skilled in staff education, training, and competency development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations preferred.
