Learning Associate information

What is a learning associate?

Learning Associates are professionals who support the educational process by assisting instructors, facilitating student learning, and providing administrative and instructional support in academic or training settings. They often help create educational materials, organize classroom activities, and offer guidance to learners. Learning Associates may work in schools, colleges, universities, or corporate training departments, helping to ensure a positive and effective learning environment.

What are the typical responsibilities of a learning associate?

As a Learning Associate, your typical responsibilities may include assisting with the development and delivery of training materials, coordinating logistics for training sessions, supporting learners during workshops, and collecting feedback to improve future sessions. You often collaborate closely with instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts to ensure learning objectives are met. By managing these operational and support tasks efficiently, you play a vital role in ensuring training programs run smoothly and effectively, directly contributing to employee development and organizational growth.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a learning associate?

To thrive as a Learning Associate, you need foundational knowledge in instructional design, training facilitation, and adult learning principles, typically supported by a bachelor’s degree in education, HR, or a related field. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools like Articulate or Captivate, and virtual collaboration platforms is commonly required. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude help Learning Associates excel in supporting learners and adapting to diverse training needs. These competencies ensure effective training delivery, learner engagement, and smooth coordination within learning and development teams.

Job description

Boutique Practice | Relationship-Focused | Mentorship & Long-Term Growth

About the Opportunity

Expressions Dental Care is seeking a relationship-focused Associate Dentist to join our well-established, boutique-style practice in Richmond Hill. With 30 years of serving the community and a loyal patient base - many of whom have been with the practice for decades - this is a rare opportunity to join a practice built on trust, exceptional care, and genuine patient relationships.

  • Loyal patient base with several hygienists having 20+ years at the practice
  • Strong emphasis on continuing education and clinical excellence
  • Daily morning huddles and a highly collaborative team culture
  • Technology includes iTero Lumina scanner, CEREC, VideaHealth AI, panoramic imaging, and a fully paperless workflow

Schedule

  • Initial schedule of 2-3 days per week with flexibility on days
  • Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Long-term goal of growing into a full-time, 4-day-per-week schedule

We are looking for a well-rounded clinician who enjoys a broad scope of dentistry and is passionate about keeping more complex treatment in-house. Key skills include:

  • General and restorative dentistry including crown and bridge
  • Basic and advanced endodontics (strong asset)
  • Basic and advanced oral surgery
  • Removable prosthodontics
  • Implant dentistry and Invisalign (asset)

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for patient relationships
  • Empathetic, professional, and committed to lifelong learning
  • Coachable, detail-oriented clinician who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Looking for a long-term home rather than a short-term opportunity

Please note: This role is not open to new graduates.
