Position Summary:
The Childcare Specialist is responsible for providing childcare services and childcare development with all dependent children to the women who are receiving treatment for substance abuse disorders. The Childcare Specialist works closely with the Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide evidenced-based childcare services to the dependent children of women who are in treatment for a substance abuse disorder.
-Attend to children by providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to children. This may include, but not limited to feeding, dressing and overseeing play.
-To report observed or unusual behavior of the children to their mother and the clinical staff.
-To maintain a log of all childcare services.
-Solve routine problems related to the children who are in care.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Chief Operating Officer and/or Executive Director.
Requirements
Qualifications:-High school diploma required. Bachelor of Science degree in education or social work preferred.
-Work experience and undergraduate coursework in early childhood education and certification preferred.
Travel Requirements:
-Quarterly meetings and trainings.
-Transport clients to and from group.
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation.
-Must have a current Driver's License and good driving record.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-2:00pm
