Where You Fit In
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and supporting market Business Developers within a designated Region. This role will collaborate closely with sales, public relations, and branch management to align strategies and achieve organizational sales goals. Identify opportunities to enhance market footprint and expand our presence through strategic initiatives and effective execution.
This role is all about adhering to processes such as CRM software management, bid proposal generation, sales reporting, forecasts, market research, and robust forward looking strategic sales planning. This role will require the ability to mentor and cultivate sales team members, strong sales forecasting, and development of sales and marketing plans that will deliver greater market penetration and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish new business opportunities through market research and networking
  • Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth
  • Monitor sales performance metrics to ensure objectives are met
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets
  • Foster trust-based relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Hire, train and develop high-performing sales professionals
  • Leverage community and industry networks to expand outreach
  • Identify and manage top-tier customer portfolios to cultivate strong relationships and drive sales growth
  • Travel within the region to meet with customers, and participate in industry events
  • Refine sales strategies and processes using market feedback to achieve branch goals
  • Lead negotiations and closing bid opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in related sales management or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a region
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with service-oriented customers and team members
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suire, CRM (Excel power user), and other business enterprise software
  • Creativity and flexibility with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and shifting environment
  • Solid working knowledge of forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed
