Job description

Clinical Education Program Manager

Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates clinical educational programs that support learning priorities, regulatory requirements, and Infirmary Health (IH) standards for quality, safety, and evidence-based nursing practice. Advances nursing orientation, competency, and professional development through proven adult learning and instructional design practice. Supports Organizational Development initiatives, leadership and staff development programs, and DeBakey Center activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

This position is working and based in Daphne at our Infirmary Eastern Shore building.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • 2 of the most recent 4 years' experience working in nursing in an acute care setting, education setting, or combination of both
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communications skills
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, and The Joint Commission (TJC) Standards

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

  • BLS
  • One of the following:
    • Current Alabama RN license
    • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles, educational methodology and instructional design
  • Experience in an adult teaching setting
