Job Summary

The site HR Business Partner will partner primarily with the Nordson MEDICAL Interventional Solutions' facility in Arab, AL. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for delivering HR support and leadership to meet business needs in areas such as organization and workforce effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement. The site HRBP partners closely with the HR Director, Communities of Expertise, and onsite managers and supervisors to align HR solutions with business initiatives that attract, develop, and retain high-caliber employees. The HRBP will help drive talent strategies, operational excellence and an engaged workforce while ensuring consistency in HR practices.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Advise managers and supervisors on workforce planning, talent management, performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to align strategies with business objectives and support enterprise and site-level HR initiatives.
  • Utilize HR data and metrics to support business decisions, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Track and report key HR metrics for the site including headcount, turnover, and engagement.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Coach managers and employees on performance and growth.
  • Build university partnerships to support talent pipelines.

Partnership with HR Communities of Expertise

  • Collaborate with CoEs (e.g., Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations) to implement and improve HR programs and policies.
  • Provide site-level insights to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure effective delivery of programs related to compensation, benefits, training, and development programs.

Employee Relations & Onsite HR Support

  • Serve as primary onsite HR contact for employees and leaders.
  • Coach supervisors on performance, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Manage employee relations issues and investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations CoE.
  • Support escalated HR Operations issues and partner with HR Services for service delivery.
  • Collaborate with labor relations teams as needed.

Culture, Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies, regulatory requirements, and local labor laws.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a business partner capacity
  • Experience working in a site-based manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with leaders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, coaching, problem-solving
  • Familiarity with Workday and Microsoft Office
