Job description

The Leadership Development Trainer is responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating training programs to enhance leadership skills within the Asbury Automotive organization. You will work closely with senior leaders to identify training needs and develop customized strategies to address them. Your role will involve fostering a culture of continuous learning, personal growth, the empowerment of leaders at all levels, and organizational effectiveness.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • · Design and develop leadership development programs tailored to the organization’s needs, incorporating best practices and innovative methodologies
  • · Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions both in person and virtually, utilizing various instructional techniques to ensure effectiveness
  • · Conduct needs assessments and skill gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and development among current and future leaders
  • · Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to leaders to support their professional growth and development
  • · Collect feedback from participants to continuously improve training programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through metrics and performance indicators
  • · Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to develop a comprehensive leadership development strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • · Assist in managing organizational change initiatives by providing training and support to leaders to navigate transitions effectively
  • · Build relationships with key stakeholders across all departments to ensure buy-in and support for leadership development initiatives
  • · Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in both automotive and leadership development

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs (min. 2-3 years of experience)
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Experience/certification in the DEI or EQ field is a plus
  • Certification in leadership development or coaching (e.g. CPLP, ICF) is a plus
