Description
Senior Business Development Manager

Thompson Solutions Group (TSG) is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to help drive growth in the Omaha market. This role is a great fit for someone who is relationshipdriven, well-connected in the local construction community, and excited to play a key role in shaping the future of integrated, multitrade project delivery.

In this senior leadership position, you'll be focused on winning new work, building longterm partnerships, and positioning TSG as a trusted partner for complex construction projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mixeduse markets.
TSG is also proud to offer an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), giving eligible employees the opportunity to share in the company's long term success and growth.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll help expand TSG's presence in the Omaha market by building strong relationships and identifying opportunities that support longterm growth. You'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities aligned with TSG's integrated services
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of strategic pursuits
  • Leveraging existing relationships while developing new ones with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, developers, and economic development partners
  • Representing TSG within the Omaha construction community through industry and civic organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, NAIOP Nebraska, AGC, and related groups
  • Positioning TSG as a goto partner for advanced and technologyintegrated construction solutions
  • Collaborating closely with internal construction, service, and leadership teams to develop customized multitrade solutions
  • Leading pursuit strategies, contributing to proposals, and clearly communicating TSG's value across business units
  • Supporting company leadership with strategic planning and growth initiatives
  • Partnering with marketing to promote regional project success and strengthen brand visibility
  • Ensuring smooth handoff from business development to project execution to support longterm client relationships
What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates with a variety of backgrounds and value strong relationships, industry knowledge, and mindset just as much as formal credentials. Ideal candidates will have many of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Seniorlevel business development experience within construction or integrated contracting services
  • Strong connections and credibility within the Omaha AEC and development community
  • Understanding of multitrade construction services such as electrical, limited energy, technology integration, and MEP
  • Experience with delivery models like designbuild, designassist, or integrated project delivery
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex pursuits and client needs
  • Experience using CRM tools and business development systems
  • Involvement or leadership in local industry or civic organizations
  • Working knowledge of project delivery, estimating, and coordination challenges
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for meetings and client engagement
