Job description

Job Summary:
AnaVation LLC is a leader in solving complex technical challenges for the U.S. Federal Intelligence Community. They are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to represent the engineering team in customer meetings, drive technology roadmaps, and mentor engineers while working with AWS cloud services and supporting core applications used by multiple Government Agencies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Represent the engineering team in customer meetings
โ€ข Plan quarterly Agile Development Planning commitments
โ€ข Drive technology roadmaps
โ€ข Work with the AnaVation Program Manager to accelerate customer priorities
โ€ข Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers
โ€ข Plan/estimate staffing, software licensing, and hosting capacity for roadmap projects and capabilities
โ€ข Supervise personnel with 5-7 direct reports including performance reviews, engineering career planning, technical interviews for new staff, Agile Delivery (Jira) prioritization and reviews, and ongoing timesheet approvals.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Clearance: SCI Eligible, willing to obtain polygraph
โ€ข Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field
โ€ข Certifications: Currently hold, or be able to attain certification in the following: DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications (CompTIA CySA+ preferred or equivalent certifications that cover both requirements acceptable such as Security+ and Cloud+) within 30 days of contract start.
โ€ข Location: Full time on-site in Reston, VA.
โ€ข Experience: 8-12 Years of relevant technical experience.
โ€ข At least 4 years of experience leading AWS Cloud development modernization, monitoring, and support and production delivery.
โ€ข At least 4 years of experience leading Linux development engineering and production delivery.
โ€ข At least 4 years of experience leading supporting/leading Agile Development engineering programs for Government program customers, planning, assigning, and coordinating engineering team tickets.
โ€ข At least 4 years of experience working in classified Government environments.
โ€ข Understanding of modern architectures including cloud, Full stack experience with modern application development environments, including backend development, modern UI frameworks, relational databases, microservices, containers, scripting and developing applications for big data platforms integration of data sources.
โ€ข Experience provisioning, configuring, and managing development, test, and production hosting environments.
โ€ข Expertise in one or more programming or scripting languages (Java, Python, PHP, Javascript, BASH, PowerShell)
โ€ข Experience in requirements traceability, documenting technical architectures, securely configuring technology stacks and COTS/GOTS software, planning/estimating design, development and deployment of new capabilities, testing and integrating new capabilities.
โ€ข Experience with Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) following Risk Management Framework (RMF)
โ€ข Excellent communication skills and regular interaction with Contractor Program Manager and Government Leadership.
Preferred:
โ€ข Desired Clearance: Active SCI with Polygraph
โ€ข Desired Education: Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field
โ€ข Desired Certifications: Active CompTIA CySA+ or equivalent certifications covering both DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support. Computing Environment certification such as AWS or Linux certifications.

โ€ข 4 years of experience designing and deploying Elastic data services.

โ€ข AWS C2S delivery experience
โ€ข Experience providing systems engineering, integration, and architecture support to intelligence community customers.
โ€ข Technical management experience (supervisor, performance reviews, technical career path development).
โ€ข Cybersecurity experience supporting threat analysts, vulnerability analysts, and/or information assurance teams.
