Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure Operations team. The ideal candidate will assist in deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and server infrastructure across data centers and Point of Presence (POP) locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise networking, data center operations, infrastructure deployment, asset management, and network support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and support network and server infrastructure in data centers and POP environments.
  • Assist with installation, rack-and-stack activities, cabling, and hardware deployments.
  • Create and maintain rack elevations, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and port mapping documentation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network and server hardware issues.
  • Support asset inventory management and tracking of networking equipment.
  • Coordinate with Network Engineering, Logistics, and third-party vendors during infrastructure deployments.
  • Assist in calculating power, space, and cooling requirements for network equipment installations.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades, migrations, and network turn-up activities.
  • Follow and maintain RMA processes for defective hardware and vendor replacements.
  • Create and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment records.
  • Utilize internal tools and scripts to monitor, configure, and maintain network devices and servers.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineering teams when necessary.
  • Adhere to data center operational standards, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • 13 years of experience supporting enterprise networks, data centers, or IT infrastructure environments.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching concepts.
  • Experience with network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, and rack infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of hardware installation, troubleshooting, and asset management processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a data center environment and lift equipment as required.
