  • Diriger les etudes conceptuelles, y compris l'estimation des quantites et les conceptions preliminaires 

  • Effectuer une conception detaillee du beton et de l'acier, y compris l'interaction avec les dessinateurs pour produire des modeles et de la documentation conformes a la conformite a l'assurance de la qualite 

  • Aider avec les demandes de construction, y compris le levage et le montage securitaires 

  • Interface avec d'autres disciplines du genie, y compris l'electricite, les procedes et la mecanique

  • Baccalaureat en genie des structures

  • Membre de l'ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec de l'Ordre. Ingenieur au Quebec);   

  • 15 ans d'experience en genie des structures, dont au moins 5 ans dans un role de direction ou de direction

  • Bonne comprehension de la conception de l'acier et du beton pour les structures industrielles lourdes.

He/she will be responsible for leading and providing technical support on structural engineering projects; this includes conducting structural design, investigation, managing project budgets and schedules, as well as preparing technical reports.   • Assist with construction enquiries, including safe lifting and erection 

  • Interface with other Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Process and Mechanical

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

What are we looking for in our future team member? Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering

  • Member of the ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec OIQ (Professional. Engineer in Quebec);   

  • 15+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 in years in a lead or senior role

  • Strong understanding of steel and concrete design for heavy industrial structures. 

  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in design/consultancy/operational environments 

  • Previous mining or metals industry experience is highly desired 

  • Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities 

  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills 

  • Experience with Canadian building code across the provinces is desirable 

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship

  • Language requirements: excellent spoken and written French. Strong

    spoken English skills are required due to daily contact with clients, suppliers, partners, and colleagues based outside Quebec.
