Lead QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) Supervisorโ€™s Title: Assistant Manager Position Summary

Oversees medication administration and QMAP team performance; mentors staff; ensures compliance with regulations; serves as liaison among care teams, residents, families, and leadership.

Key Duties
  • Medication Administration & Oversight: Administer medications; ensure complete and accurate documentation; audit MARs; resolve discrepancies with providers.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Train, support, and supervise QMAP staff; assist with scheduling and assignments; serve as liaison with residents, families, and management.
  • Resident Care & Advocacy: Monitor wellโ€‘being; report changes; ensure care plans are followed and adapted as needed.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to state regulations and policies; conduct routine checks of medication storage, labeling, and handling; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Respond promptly to emergencies; provide CPR/First Aid support as required.
Qualifications
  • Active and valid QMAP; strong leadership, organization, and problemโ€‘solving; excellent communication and documentation; ability to lift ~20 lbs. and assist with physical needs.
  • Preferred: Experience in senior living/healthcare; 1โ€“2 years as QMAP or in med administration; CPR/First Aid certification; supervisory experience.
  • Comfort with Gardens Careโ€™s approved systems is required: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling).
  • Senior living environment with flexible scheduling needs (evenings, weekends, holidays).
