Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our growing process team in Mississauga, ON.

Reporting to the Manager of Process the Lead Process Engineer is responsible for the delivery of accurate, professional and compliant process study and design deliverables using Company approved systems and procedures to agreed schedules. The tasks you'll perform Lead and deliver NI 43101 compliant process documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Produce core process engineering deliverables, including mass balances, flowsheets, P&IDs, design criteria, operating costs, and control philosophy.

Plan, cost, execute, and interpret metallurgical testwork programmes, delivering clear reports and defined process designs. Evaluate process equipment tenders and vendor data, providing technical recommendations during studies and design phases. Proactively manage process risks and changes, ensuring timely communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet study, project, and client design objectives. Support team capability and continuous improvement through mentoring, peer reviews, and contribution to improvement initiatives. Participate in commissioning, proposals, professional development activities, and adhoc travel as required, maintaining accurate process documentation and knowledge bases.

The expertise you'll bring Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Extensive experience in mineral processing, including 10+ years in engineering roles and 5+ years in operations or process plant environments. Deep process design expertise, with strong technical, analytical, and problemsolving capability and high attention to detail. Proven ability to deliver to budget and schedule with minimal supervision while maintaining high technical standards.

Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, delegation, succession planning, and team development. Strong commercial and business acumen, adaptable across different operational and project environments. Comprehensive knowledge of process plant safety requirements, including tagging, isolation, and emergency procedures.

Proficiency in mineral processing and engineering tools, including LIMN, METSIM, SYSCAD, BRUNO, and advanced MS Excel Strong professional integrity and confidentiality standards.
