While both roles focus on sales processes, a Lead Manager primarily manages lead generation, qualification, and nurturing to support sales teams. What is a Lead Manager?

A Lead Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the process of capturing, tracking, and nurturing sales leads within an organization. Their main goal is to ensure that potential customers (leads) are properly managed from the initial point of contact through to conversion or sale. Lead Managers often coordinate with marketing and sales teams, utilize CRM software, and develop strategies to improve lead quality and conversion rates. They play a critical role in maximizing sales opportunities and supporting business growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Lead Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Lead Manager, you need strong leadership skills, project management experience, and a proven ability to coordinate teams, often supported by a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Trello, CRM systems, and relevant certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are typically important. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and motivational skills help a Lead Manager inspire teams and drive results. These competencies are crucial for effectively guiding projects, meeting organizational goals, and fostering team productivity.

How does a Lead Manager typically collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimize lead conversion?

A Lead Manager plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between sales and marketing by ensuring that high-quality leads are efficiently nurtured and handed off at the right stage. This involves frequent coordination with marketing to refine lead qualification criteria and with sales to track conversion rates and feedback. Lead Managers often facilitate meetings, share analytics, and implement processes to ensure leads are followed up promptly, which helps improve overall conversion rates. Collaboration is ongoing, making strong communication and organizational skills essential for success in this role.

Job description

CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm where our purpose is to create opportunities every day, for our clients, our people, and our communities through industry-focused wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services. Even with more than 8,500 people, 130 U.S. locations, and a global reach, we promise to know you and help you.

CLA is dedicated to building a culture that invites different beliefs and perspectives to the table, so we can truly know and help our clients, communities, and each other.

We're looking for an Acumatica Project Manager who brings structure, calm, and genuine care to every project. You'll guide clients and internal teams from kickoff to golive, keeping everyone aligned, informed, and confident. Your superpower is emotional ownership - you don't just manage projects, you champion them.

If you love collaboration, clear communication, and helping clients feel supported every step of the way, you'll thrive here.

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of project management consulting services for our Acumatica clients. Working closely with internal clients and external clients, you will deliver a full range of services, such as internal project reporting and administration, resource management, client management, project budgeting/accounting/finance, project planning, project control and project communication.

Ideal candidates will have extensive technical experience in Acumatica (managed prior Acumatica implementations).

As a Senior Technical Project Leader, you will work on:

Lead Projects with Confidence & Clarity

  • Own the full project lifecycle - planning, execution, delivery, and postgolive support
  • Keep projects on track using scope control, clear timelines, and proactive communication
  • Track progress, risks, budget, and key metrics without drowning the team in admin
  • Flag issues early and create practical, teamaligned contingency plans

Be the Client's Trusted Guide

  • Build strong, positive relationships with client stakeholders
  • Set expectations early and reinforce them throughout the project
  • Translate technical details into clear, humanfriendly updates
  • Keep clients informed, calm, and confident - even when things get messy
  • Ensure clients feel heard, supported, and delighted with the final outcome

Support and Coordinate Your Team

  • Partner with consultants, developers, and leadership to keep work flowing smoothly
  • Assign roles and responsibilities based on skills, availability, and project needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to deliver highquality results
  • Foster a team culture of transparency, accountability, and shared success

Drive Project Financial Health

  • Monitor budget, burn rate, and earned value with a practical, businessminded approach
  • Manage change orders with clarity and confidence
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and timely followups
  • Keep leadership informed with simple, meaningful project reporting

Communicate Like a Pro

  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks, decisions, and next steps
  • Create simple, effective project documentation when needed
  • Ensure all stakeholders - internal and external - always know what's happening
  • Use sound judgment to escalate issues at the right time, in the right way

What You Bring

  • Experience managing ERP projects, ideally with Acumatica
  • Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills
  • A calm, organized, proactive approach to problemsolving
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing sight of the big picture
  • Emotional ownership - you care deeply about delivering a great client experience
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to help your team succeed

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • A supportive, collaborative team that values people over ego
  • Projects that challenge you without burning you out
  • Leadership that listens, trusts, and empowers
  • A culture built on transparency, kindness, and continuous improvement

As our ideal candidate, you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a business leadership position experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and national in scope
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team setting.
  • Good computer skills, proficient with MS office applications
  • Knowledge of workforce strategies developed in other sectors is an asset
  • Knowledge of labor force strategies would be an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
