What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Lead Development Representative can potentially earn $10,000 a month through commissions and bonuses, especially in high-growth industries like technology or SaaS sales. Success in this role depends on strong communication skills, sales performance, and experience with CRM tools, often without requiring a college degree.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Lead Development Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Lead Development Representative, you need strong communication skills, persuasive outreach abilities, and a foundational understanding of sales or marketing, often supported by relevant experience or a business degree. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce, lead generation tools, and email automation platforms is typically required. Resilience, active listening, and a proactive mindset are standout soft skills in this role. These skills are crucial for effectively identifying prospects, building relationships, and driving high-quality leads to support the sales pipeline.

What are Lead Development Representatives?

Lead Development Representatives (LDRs) are sales professionals responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing potential customers, known as leads, for a business. Their primary role is to initiate contact with prospects, assess their interest and needs, and determine if they are a good fit for the company’s products or services. LDRs often use cold calling, email outreach, and social media to generate and qualify leads before passing them on to sales teams for further engagement. They play a critical role in building the sales pipeline and supporting overall business growth.

What does a lead development representative do?

A lead development representative (LDR) is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential sales leads through research, outreach, and communication. They often use tools like customer relationship management (CRM) software and focus on generating interest to pass qualified leads to the sales team for further engagement.

How does a Lead Development Representative collaborate with sales and marketing teams to achieve targets?

As a Lead Development Representative (LDR), you'll work closely with both sales and marketing teams to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads. This typically involves attending regular alignment meetings, sharing feedback on lead quality, and updating both teams on lead status. You'll also use CRM systems to track interactions and coordinate follow-ups, ensuring that promising prospects are handed off smoothly to sales reps. Effective communication and teamwork are key, as your outreach efforts are integral to the overall sales pipeline success.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Lead Development Representatives typically do not earn $2,000 a day; their compensation usually includes base salary and commissions. High-earning roles in sales, finance, or consulting may reach such daily earnings through commissions, bonuses, or profit-sharing, especially at senior levels or with extensive experience. Achieving this level often requires specialized skills, certifications, and a strong track record of performance.

How much do SDRs typically make?

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) typically earn a base salary ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 annually, with additional commissions and bonuses that can increase total compensation to $60,000 to $80,000 or more. Compensation varies based on experience, industry, and location, and often includes performance-based incentives. Many SDRs also receive training in CRM tools and sales techniques to improve their earning potential.

We're Hiring for a Sales Development Representative with LodgeLink in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is based in the office.
Are you driven, eager to learn, and ready to level up in your career? At LodgeLink, we're more than just a tech company-we're a team that's collaborative, agile, and not afraid to be bold. You'll join a group that's inventing better ways to make workforce travel easier and more efficient. We move fast, we support each other, and we're dependable as we push toward our ambitious goals. From facilitating initial conversations, to developing team-wide best practices, you will be an integral member for our sales organization.
This isn't just a sales role-it's an opportunity to help shape the future of our company while you jumpstart your career in an exciting field. This role is intentionally designed to grow into a full-sales cycle position, with closing responsibilities added over time as you build your skills, product knowledge, and customer relationships. For the right candidate, this is a clear and supported path to moving to the next level in a full cycle sales role.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and isn't afraid to think boldly. They're eager to learn, build meaningful customer relationships, and play a key role in shaping LodgeLink's growing sales engine.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect & Engage: Identify and engage senior decision-makers (C-suite, VPs, Directors) across organizations using a multi-channel approach (email, phone, LinkedIn, and events).
  • Account Research: Conduct account mapping to understand business models, pain points, organizational structures, and regional decision-making processes.
  • Qualification: Lead qualification conversations to assess business needs, timelines, and fit before setting meetings for business development managers.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Business Development, Customer Success and Marketing to refine messaging, share market insights, and improve conversion rates.
  • CRM Management: Maintain clean and accurate data in Salesforce to track engagement and pipeline performance.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on market trends, competitive activity, and industry changes that influence buying behavior.
  • Industry Events & Conferences: Represent LodgeLink at industry events, trade shows, and conferences - building your network, identifying new prospects, and staying at the forefront of workforce travel trends.
  • Career Progression Toward Full-Cycle Sales: As you grow in the role, take on increasing ownership of the sales process - with a clear path toward managing full deal cycles, including discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing responsibilities.

What's in it for You?
  • Competitive Salary & Commission Structure: Receive a competitive salary package with uncapped sales commissions.
  • Hands-on coaching and mentorship from a team that's got your back-whether you're new to sales or looking to sharpen your skills, we'll help you succeed.
  • Growth Opportunities: We are committed to your professional development and offer training programs to help you thrive in your role.
  • Clear growth path: We believe in promoting from within, so if you're ambitious, there's no ceiling on where you can go - including a defined progression into a full-cycle closing role.
  • Vibrant company culture: Join a passionate, collaborative team that loves what they do, supports each other, and values innovation and creativity.

About You
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in outbound SDR or BDR roles targeting Mid-market and Enterprise accounts.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across written, verbal, and digital channels.
  • Skilled at building rapport across medium and large organizations with potentially complex Parent/Child and subsidiary structures.
  • Highly organized, data-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-moving environments.
  • Motivated by measurable goals, team success, and personal growth in enterprise sales.
  • You've got a positive attitude, great communication skills, and the drive to hit your targets.
  • You're excited about working in a fast-paced environment where you'll grow both personally and professionally.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel to represent the company at industry events and conferences.
