ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Lead Cook / Cook Supervisor position will be located in a higher education school setting. This person will be responsible for executing the daily/weekly menu to company recipe specifications and the day to day operations of the commissary. Main responsibilities will be: preparing exciting and engaging meals following Genuine recipes, leading a team of cooks, managing daily prep and ensuring all food safety & sanitation standards are being met.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure food safety standards are being followed at all times

  • Must be flexible & team-oriented!
  • 3+ year of line cook or culinary experience
  • 1+ year of management experience
  • Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness.
  • Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
  • Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs.
  • Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods' mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness.
