Shipping Lead

Pay: $19.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a dependable, motivated Shipping Lead to help lead daily shipping operations under the Shipping supervisor. This position is responsible for coordinating daily workloads, ensuring shipments are accurate and on time, maintaining inventory, and promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare shipments, print shipping labels, and verify package weights.
  • Package products while ensuring quality and product integrity.
  • Oversee outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain finished goods inventory and ensure products are stored in the correct inventory locations.
  • Review and validate shipping and inventory transactions in the MRP system.
  • Support shipping department Supervisor and employees.
  • Assist with loading trucks and preparing shipments for delivery.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
*This position does not directly supervise other employeesQualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of team lead experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience using inventory or MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
