Job description

A Security Officer with Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) is responsible for protecting all LDC properties, patrons, and personnel by preventing and responding to incidents such as altercations, theft, vandalism, fire, illegal entry, and other safety risks. Core duties include patrolling buildings and grounds, monitoring for irregularities, responding to emergencies, assisting in medical situations, escorting patrons and staff, safeguarding casino assets, participating in money-handling procedures, and preparing incident reports. Officers must communicate clearly via radio or phone, maintain professionalism at all times, and comply with all LDC, Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board, federal, and state regulations.

The role requires consistent punctuality, teamwork, customer service, and the ability to work under pressure, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Security Officers are expected to build positive guest relationships, maintain strong working relationships with coworkers, and attend required meetings. Physical and mental demands include extensive walking, standing, lifting, decision-making, and problem-solving. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, relevant security experience, and must obtain and maintain certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED, defensive tactics, alcohol server permit, gaming license, Title 31 certification, and urine analysis testing certification.
