Location: Tualatin, OR

About the Role:

We are hiring a hig-performance Field Service Engineer to support, commission, and maintain our advanced laser depaneling systems. This role is for someone who thrives in the field, has a deep knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, and is disciplined in both mindset and execution.

Job description

LPKF Laser & Electronics North America is currently looking for a full time Field Service Engineer within our Production Laser Group. We are looking for a team player who can commit to a full-time schedule, mostly consisting of travel within North America and assisting with customer support. This position will be responsible for install, repair and service of laser systems to some of the worldโ€™s leading electronics manufacturers.

This position is a full time, direct hire role.


Essential Responsibilities

  • ยท Perform on-site installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of LPKF laser systems.
  • ยท Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • ยท Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex issues.
  • ยท Document service activities, customer feedback, and improvement suggestions.
  • ยท Support continuous improvement initiatives in service efficiency and quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 2โ€“5+ years of experience in field service or technical support (laser, CNC, or semiconductor systems preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Valid U.S. passport and driver's license
  • [Optional: Military or disciplined technical background is a plus.]
