Job description

Laser Field Service Engineer

Compensation: $85,000$90,000 annually
Location: Norther California - Bay Area Territory-based (8+ clinic locations)

About the Role

LaserAway is seeking a skilled Laser Field Service Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our laser equipment across a multi-location territory. You'll be the critical link between our clinical teams and operational excellence, ensuring equipment reliability and clinic readiness.

What You'll Do

  • Manage laser maintenance and repairs across 8+ clinic locations and 100+ medical devices

  • Respond promptly to service tickets and on-call issues, with flexibility for after-hours support

  • Lead new clinic equipment setup and validation to meet launch deadlines

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and parts inventory management

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and troubleshoot complex electrical/optical issues

  • Communicate proactively with clinic teams on equipment status and repair timelines

  • Create and submit weekly equipment reports

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in laser, biomedical, electrical, HVAC, or similar technical field

  • Strong electrical safety knowledge and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication abilities

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb 8-ft ladders, and stand for extended periods

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel (up to 5 days)

  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, video conferencing, and ticketing systems
