Job description

Larson Systems Inc. is looking for an experienced Electronics Assembly Specialist who enjoys detailed work and takes pride in doing it right. This is not repetitive assembly-line work. You will build circuit boards, cables, wire harnesses, and electronic assemblies that become part of precision spring testing equipment used by companies around the world.

What You'll Do

  • Populate and hand solder printed circuit boards using through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components.
  • Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
  • Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies from drawings and work instructions.
  • Read wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform fine-detail soldering and assembly under a microscope when needed.
  • Inspect your own work and make sure it is complete, neat, and built correctly.
  • Work with engineering and production when a drawing or assembly needs clarification.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous electronics assembly and hand soldering experience.
  • Experience working with printed circuit boards and small electronic components.
  • Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed drawings and instructions.
  • Someone who can work independently, ask questions, and take responsibility for the quality of their work.

Experience We'd Be Glad to See

  • Through-hole and surface mount (SMT) soldering.
  • Cable assembly and wire harness building.
  • Microscope or fine-pitch soldering work.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly.
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification, IPC-A-610 training, or similar experience. Certification is preferred, but it is not required.

About the Work

LSI designs and manufactures precision spring testing equipment. The electronic assemblies built in this position help make that equipment accurate, dependable, and built to last.

We are looking for someone who notices the little things. A clean solder matters. A correctly routed wire matters. Catching a questionable part or drawing before it becomes a problem matters. We want someone who is proud of the work they put their name on.

Pay and Benefits

  • $26.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus quarterly production bonus.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Health Savings Account contribution for employees enrolled in an eligible plan.
  • SIMPLE IRA with company match.
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays.
  • Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Long-term position with a stable, Minnesota-based manufacturer.

If you enjoy precision work and believe the details matter, we would like to hear from you.
