Description:

Position Summary

While working as a Large Format Operator, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties related to vinyl production and finishing, including operating large format printers, weeding, masking, laminating, trimming, and preparing graphics for installation.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on production work and takes pride in turning printed materials into high-quality finished products. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate large format printers and related finishing equipment.
  • Print vinyl graphics, signage, decals, banners, and other large format products.
  • Weed vinyl graphics accurately and efficiently.
  • Apply transfer tape/masking to finished vinyl graphics.
  • Laminate printed vinyl using a roll laminator.
  • Trim, cut, mount, and finish printed materials according to job specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for color, quality, accuracy, and defects.
  • Read and follow job tickets and production specifications.
  • Prepare completed graphics for installation, shipping, or pickup.
  • Properly handle and care for vinyl, substrates, laminates, and other production materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot basic production issues.
  • Work closely with other members of the production and signage teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed



Requirements:

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma is required
  • Previous experience in large format printing, vinyl production, sign production, or graphic finishing preferred.
  • Experience weeding and masking vinyl is highly preferred.
  • Experience with lamination and vinyl application is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce quality work.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets and production instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet production deadlines.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform detailed, repetitive work.
  • Ability to safely lift and move production materials as needed.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to be part of a team.

This position is Monday - Friday from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
