Responsibilities
Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Shall be assigned to serve as Center Medical Director
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled health related services as provided to the LaRC population
  • Maintain a daily schedule of physicians' examination appointments
  • Coordinate with nurse staff and medical laboratory regarding patient services and treatments
  • Provide emergency treatment of occupational and non- occupational illnesses and injuries within capabilities of the clinic; refer more serious illness and injury cases to medical specialists for in-depth diagnosis and treatment
  • Consult with resident LaRC EAP Coordinator regarding health and welfare of LaRC employees
  • Participate in providing medical coverage for special LaRC events
  • Maintain professional credentials; attend medical educational sessions
  • Support and participate in locally sponsored medical associated activities (maintain respected professional reputation with cellularity physicians and recognized health facilities)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate from Accredited Medical School
  • Physician: Board Certified as either a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O)
  • Current License - Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Course C certification.
  • Current Registration - Drug Enforcement Administration
