Board-Certified Obgyn Physician

A hospital in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN Physician for a locum assignment covering hospital call with optional clinic coverage. This opportunity offers a supportive team, low call-back volume, and flexible scheduling based on coverage needs.

Position: Physician – OBGYN Location: Petersburg, VA Practice Setting: Hospital Call + Optional Clinic

Flexible mix of hospital call and clinic coverage If working clinic, no night call required on clinic days Coverage Months: May – July (ongoing potential) Low call-back volume (less than 1 per 24 hrs) Call ratio: 1:4 Support from OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, and nursing staff EPIC EMR system Laborist handles unassigned/unreferred patients

9 L&D beds + 20 postpartum beds 4 physicians in practice Average 2–3 nursery admissions per day Credentialing: 60–90 days (temps possible for clean candidates) Travel: Open to full travel coverage (prefers local candidates)

Required Procedures: C-sections Vaginal deliveries Suction D&C Ectopic pregnancy management Ovarian torsion Abnormal bleeding cases MFM handles high-risk patients
