Medical Assistant – Part-Time/LONG-TERM TEMP
Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a medical practice in Norfolk, VA (23502).
This is a PART-TIME, LONG-TERM TEMPORARY POSITION with a consistent schedule and no weekend hours.
Schedule
  • Monday: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 11:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • Thursday: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you will support the clinical team and help provide an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities may include:
  • Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
  • Documenting chief complaints and updating medical histories
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Assisting with prescription refills
  • Providing patient education
  • Preparing and setting up rooms for procedures
  • Assisting providers at the bedside
  • Cleaning and sterilizing rooms and equipment
  • Stocking exam rooms and maintaining supplies
  • Performing other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager
Medical Assistant Requirements
Required:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Graduation from an accredited/approved Medical Assistant program and MA diploma
  • Current CPR certification
  • Availability to work all three scheduled days each week
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable, organized, and able to learn quickly
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
  • Previous Family Medicine experience
