Senior SAP Project Manager

Full-time | Onsite | Garner, NC (Onsite 5 days/week)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager / PMO Lead to oversee critical enterprise SAP initiatives across both SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendors and integration partners, and ensuring successful delivery of complex business and IT initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background leading SAP transformation programs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business functions. This individual will play a key role in the next phase of a multi-plant SAP S/4HANA rollout while supporting a stable ECC environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide SAP projects and programs from planning through execution and post-go-live support
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies
  • Support ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation efforts, including future plant deployments
  • Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, system integrators, and business stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and implementation strategy
  • Oversee testing cycles, cutover planning, go-live readiness, and stabilization efforts
  • Maintain executive-ready reporting, dashboards, status updates, and project documentation
  • Drive issue resolution and decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Mentor project team members and help strengthen PMO processes and standards
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across delivery practices and systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Background supporting both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
  • 8+ years of project management experience leading large-scale IT or ERP initiatives
  • Proven experience managing SAP projects, including SAP S/4HANA implementations
  • Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, integrations, and enterprise business processes
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in complex organizations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar platforms
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or plant operations environments
  • Prior exposure to multi-site SAP rollouts
