Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Inspire: Guide a high-performing technology and operations team to execute critical business functions and achieve strategic digital objectives.
  • Drive Cloud Excellence: Champion the adoption of cloud best practices, ensuring safety, soundness, and the rapid delivery of business outcomes.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across business, product, technology, risk, suppliers, and operations.
  • Ensure Operational Resiliency: Guarantee 24/7 uptime for mission-critical applications through proactive management of software, demand, and monitoring systems.
  • Develop Team Capability: Foster a team with advanced technical skills, deep business domain expertise, and the capacity to meet ambitious organizational goals.
  • Optimize Performance & Cost: Manage vendor relationships and the total cost of ownership, leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for your team.
  • Embrace Agile Delivery: Serve as a Technology Foundation Product Owner/Project Manager (POPM) within an Agile/Kanban value delivery system.
  • Innovate with AI: Guide strategic recommendations for integrating Artificial Intelligence to enhance Development, IT Operations, and Business user capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, CKA) are highly desired.
  • Leadership Experience: 6+ years of proven success leading, mentoring, and cultivating high-performing, cross-functional IT operations teams.
  • Cloud Expertise: 5+ years driving the delivery of cloud-ready and cloud-native infrastructure, leveraging public cloud services (Azure experience is a significant plus).
  • Technical Acumen: Deep experience with solutions such as Endpoint Management, Networking, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Automation, Middleware, and ITSM.
  • Compliance: Experience delivering against SOC 2 Type II or other technology compliance certifications in FinTech or Banking is highly preferred.
  • Operational Excellence: A track record of leading application technology operations, instrumenting on-call rotations, and driving automation and help-desk improvements.
  • Change Leadership: Proven ability to act as a change agent, modernizing operations with disruptive technologies and a forward-thinking mindset.
  • Communication & Organization: Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with excellent leadership and organizational abilities.

Work Location:
This role requires regular face-to-face collaboration with teams, stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We welcome local candidates, those willing to relocate, or remote professionals who can commit to regular travel.
