Job Description

This is a field facing operations leadership position — hands-on, fast-paced, and accountable. You'll own oversite for route performance, crew execution, and client retention across a large commercial landscape maintenance portfolio in South Florida.

6–8 managers direct reporting to you

120 field staff under your oversight

Multi-site commercial portfolio

The right person can walk a route, spot the problems such as quality issues, hour overruns, density gaps, and build a corrective action plan the same week. You lead through your account managers, not around them. And when a client has a need, you see it as an opportunity.

Essential Functions

You will perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions related to the daily performance of contracted services. This includes:

  • Route optimization and labor control - Develop, monitor, and continuously improve route structures. Track production rates, identify job-hour slippage and operational bottlenecks, and implement corrective action fast. Budget compliance isn't negotiable.
  • Team leadership and accountability - Manage 6–8 account managers and approximately 120 field staff. Set clear execution standards, conduct quality audits, develop crew leaders, and hold your team accountable to outcomes, not just effort.
  • Client retention and relationship management - Stay ahead of issues before clients have to raise them. Keep communication proactive and protect the portfolio. When retention is at risk, you're the one who fixes it.
  • Ancillary revenue - Identify and close enhancement, irrigation, and arborcare opportunities. You know the properties. Use that knowledge to drive additional revenue through your account managers for the business.
  • Financial and administrative oversight - Manage gross margins, labor forecasting, equipment utilization, and payroll reporting in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Training and development – Develop and implement structured training and advancement programs for crew members and leaders. Build the team below you, not just manage it.
Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership in commercial landscape maintenance operations - not just field experience, actual management
  • Proven track record in route planning, logistical optimization, and managing crew production rates
  • Ability to diagnose field problems and follow through with corrective action - not just identify them
  • Strong working knowledge of South Florida plant materials, turfgrasses, palms, and local horticultural practices
  • Comfortable with enhancement, irrigation, and arbor care sales
  • Fluent in English and Spanish – preferred for effective crew communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with landscape management software or ERP/routing tools
  • Ability to accurately forecast labor, materials, and equipment needs
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record; able to commute to the Medley/Doral area daily

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

To be considered for this position:

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment screening including background check and drug test.
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

You can apply online and also Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at our office located at 7500 NW 74th Ave. Medley, FL 33166 or contact us at (954) 330-6497 for more information.
