About Us

Pinehurst Landscapes is a well-established landscaping and nursery business committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and manage the financial operations across our integrated landscape and nursery divisions.

Position Overview
Working closely with our General Manager, Production Team, Sales Team, Office Staff, Facilities and Fleet Manager to ensure we deliver excellent service to our clients. You will help to organize and oversee daily operations of the production team, providing logistical support and encouragement to team members.
Time Allocation:
80% Office Duties: Scheduling, and logistics
20% Field Duties: Pre-job meetings, dispatch, post job reviews
General Workday: 7:00AM โ€“ 4:30PM, Monday-Friday
Peak Season: Evenings & Saturdays may be required to meet clients' demands
Daily Responsibilities
*Manage weekly schedule to ensure jobs are running on time and budget
*Oversee morning dispatch of crews and loading of materials
*Ensure accuracy of job costing deliverables in LMN
*Review work orders for contracted work upon scheduling in advance of project start dates
*Oversee procurement and delivery of job materials to include plants, pavers and natural stone, bulk organics and aggregates, as well as other construction materials
*Ensure the Production Team has the tools, equipment, training, and resources necessary to complete its goals, meet production deadlines, and standards of excellence
*Perform End of Day Check-in with Project Managers and to ensure jobs are on schedule and running as estimated
*Update schedule daily to reflect current job statuses
*Ensure accuracy of weekly production team timesheets
*Review job profitability summaries in advance of submission for invoicing
*Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, registration, inspections, scheduling, and tracking of vehicle usage to minimize downtime and extend lifespan of company assets
*Oversee facilities management, ensuring buildings, yards, storage areas, and equipment are well-organized, properly maintained, and meet safety and operational standards
*Track and report key operational metrics, including productivity, job costs, and customer satisfaction
*Assist in hiring, training, and performance management of production team
*Contribute to the Weekly Production & Scheduling Meeting by providing feedback and insight into past, present and future work to ensure the Production Team is achieving set standards and deadlines, and setup for job success
*Serve as a resource to the design/sales team to provide complete, accurate, and sellable estimates
*Assist with coordination of ย subcontractors to ensure services are performed professionally and to our standards
*Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients, managers, employees, vendors, and subcontractors
*Assist in performance reviews for Production Team
*Work with General Manager to set and deliver annual revenue goals
Required Qualifications: Landscape/Construction
Experience & Education
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction, production management, or related field
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (minimum 5-10 active projects)
Experience with construction management software (LMN or similar platforms)
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with scheduling and project management software
Knowledge of landscape materials, equipment, and construction methods
Basic understanding of job costing and budget management
Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications
Measurable Competencies
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with budgets ranging from $10,000 to $500,000+
Track record of maintaining 90%+ on-time project completion rate
Experience coordinating teams of 10-30+ field personnel
History of maintaining strong vendor relationships with 5+ key suppliers
Experience managing material procurement budgets of $500,000+ annually
