The Landscape Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial landscaping equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset. The Landscape Mechanic plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining fleet reliability, and supporting field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial lawn mowers and two-cycle equipment, including string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues
  • Maintain service vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and shop inventory in safe and working condition
  • Support seasonal parts inventory planning, stocking, and organization as needed
  • Accurately track time, materials, and parts used for repairs and maintenance
  • Complete all required documentation and work orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies while performing work assignments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

Position Requirements

  • Valid driverโ€™s license with an acceptable driving record per fleet insurance standards

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to operate commercial lawn equipment and related tools
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in equipment and vehicle repair
