Job description

Landscape Design & Sales Specialist

R&D Landscape is seeking a results-driven Landscape Design & Sales Specialist with a strong background in sales and client relations. While design knowledge is valued, this role is primarily focused on building relationships, identifying client needs, and achieving sales growth in our landscape construction services.

Established in 2001, R&D Landscape is a fast-growing company based in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Our mission is to become the leading landscape provider in Michigan, delivering high-quality projects backed by professionalism, innovation, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their project vision, budget, and

site conditions while inspiring them to dream big about their outdoor spaces.

  • Present and sell comprehensive landscape solutions, including:

    • Hardscaping (patios, walkways, retaining walls)

    • Softscaping (gardens, plantings, lawns)

    • Water features

    • Outdoor living spaces (kitchens, fire pits, entertainment areas)

  • Develop compelling proposals, contracts, and presentations that make clients excited to say “YES!”.

  • Negotiate terms, close sales, and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.

  • Manage pipeline activity using CRM software.

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure flawless project delivery.

Build long-term client relationships and maintain excellent communication throughout the process.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years proven success in landscape sales or a related industry.

  • A natural communicator who builds trust quickly.

  • Familiarity with landscape design, plant materials, and construction methods (preferred).

  • Highly organized, motivated, and results-oriented.

  • Proficient in CRM software.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (DOT Certification & Chauffeur’s License preferred).
